AMAZING B&B EXPERIENCE

My wife and I stayed for 6 nights late Sept 2021 with Kathy and Larry at their beautiful home. We loved our stay at Sedona Cathedral Hideaway!!

The home is beautiful, spacious, and ideally located (unless you wish to be in central Sedona with its traffic and absence of “zen”). It is located near Cathedral Rock and is a short 10 minute drive off the main road in west Sedona. Those 10 minutes will get you to a serene, gorgeous, quiet “neighborhood” near red rock crossing, a stream, Cathedral Rock, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, etc.!

The house is Kathy and Larry’s primary residence. They are a lovely couple (from Illinois) who are interesting, knowledgeable, smart, funny, and VERY talented. We stayed in the main house (not the casita – which is a separate house adjacent to the main house). The host’s bedroom and the “safari” guest room are on the second floor. There is another similar guest room on the first floor. We stayed in the safari room and it was fantastic. Large room with a couch and table, separate sitting chairs, king size sleep number bed (with dual controls), desk/coffee corner, large whirlpool tub under a picture window, dual sinks, huge 2 person shower with towel warmer. The bedroom has HUGE picture windows that look out at Cathedral Rock (a vortex and major Sedona attraction). It is air conditioned and has a ceiling fan to boot. Suffice it to say – the room is fantastic.

Gourmet breakfast (I mean gourmet!!) is prepared and served by the hosts on their outdoor deck (also facing Cathedral Rock) every morning. They will prepare a wide variety of breakfast options with place mats, nice cutlery and glassware, fresh brewed coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt/fruit parfaits, eggs any style, breakfast meats, etc, etc, etc. The preparation and the service are impeccable!

Unlike some B&B’s, you are sharing the hosts living areas. We were welcome to use 90% of their interior house and 100% of the exterior (several outdoor patios, bocce court, horseshoe court, etc). It was not weird at all (for us) to see our hosts when we were at the B&B. We chatted about our hikes and restaurants, shared our plans for the next day, shared about each other’s families/aspirations/life. We didn’t spend a ton of time at the B&B because we came to explore Sedona, hike, and dine. Incidentally, there are hikes you can access from the home without driving to a trail head.

We are pretty particular and don’t rave about places without reason. Sedona Cathedral Hideaway is VERY SPECIAL. and we would not consider staying anywhere else when we return to Sedona. If you want zero interaction with your B&B hosts, perhaps this isn’t the place for you (your loss). However, for us, the time we spent getting to know Kathy and Larry was precious (and yet we were out and about a lot).

In summary – this a fantastic place to stay. Sedona is special, as are the accommodations and the hosts (yes you, Kathy and Larry.! Thanks for a lovely, memorable stay in Sedona).

Perfect in every way…

Kathy and Larry were incredible hosts. Our room had every possible amenity, including snacks and chocolate! The breakfast choices are 5 star worthy and we were sorry to leave before experiencing more of them. Our hosts were knowledgeable about the area – hiking trails, restaurants and shops – which made our first trip to Sedona stress free. We will be back!

Perfect Hideaway

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time with Larry and Kathy. They were the perfect host and hostess. Their house is beautiful and the suites leave nothing to be desired. Larry and Kathy thought of everything. It’s a lovely place to end your day after spending in the hustle and bustle of Sedona. Their house is close to a state park where we went hiking. The breakfast is wonderful as well as the setting which was on our patio. Thanks Larry and Kathy for a great weekend.

We’ll never forget this place…

Our room was amazing with all the features of home (and then some!). Super clean and loved the fact that we came back from a day of adventures to find our bed made and room tidied up. Breakfast was not only beautiful – it was amazing to eat! We would love to go back to Larry & Kathy’s Cathedral just so we could take advantage of all the amenities we didn’t have time for. They truly thought of everything. Best place to stay in Sedona! Out of town a couple of miles but the tranquility and the natural beauty right outside your back door were well worth it! Thanks for taking such great care of us and for all the tips! You both are amazing people!

Magic in Sedona <3

Kathy and Larry’s hospitality is unparalleled. Breakfast every morning was delicious and filling, they have every amenity you could possibly need. The location is incredible, there are plenty of hikes and trails walking distance as well as viewpoints where you can watch the sunset and get some great photos of Cathedral Rock. My husband and I stayed in the Safari Room for our “Babymoon” and it far exceeded our expectations. The view of Cathedral Rock from our windows and starlit sky from the jacuzzi tub was beautiful and romantic. Kathy and Larry will provide you with whatever you need, including the trip of a lifetime!

What a great place to stay!

This is a beautiful and tranquil place to stay. Kathy and Larry have thought of everything, from a magnifying makeup mirror to plenty of bottled water, plus a wine opener in the room. They are knowledgeable about Sedona and their input was quite helpful in planning our excursions. The property is private and quiet yet convenient to all of Sedona. The star gazing is spectacular. Breakfast was delicious as well! Can’t recommend this place enough, and we are planning our next visit already. Plus the view from our bedroom window was practically a postcard. Just perfect.

Best place on Earth!

If i can rate beyond 5 stars I would! Hospitality, warmth, and love it was like staying with family! Perfect getaway in the heart of Sedona, the view from the Safari room is Majestic, and the breakfast was amazing they will customize however you like! But go with some of there own creations. Plenty of trails nearby in walking distance, minutes from local restaurants and stores. Local Native American jewelry and art! And plenty more. Kathy and Larry are very informative and have everything you need to have the best time of your life in Sedona. I will miss you guy’s and hope to be back soon!

Incredible views and accommodations with amazing hosts

My parents and I spent a week at the Casita this June, and were absolutely amazed at this beautiful property and how helpful Kathy and Larry were. The Casita was impeccably clean, and had every amenity and appliance you could possibly need. We were able to make good use of the very modern kitchen, enjoyed the patio views of Cathedral rock, and loved all the little touches throughout the house. Kathy was a wonderful help planning our day trips and hiking expeditions and provided us with maps and years of local Sedona experience. I really cannot emphasize enough how perfect this stay was, and how much Kathy and Larry bend over backwards to ensure their guests have everything they need and more. You truly cannot beat the value, considering the spacious rooms and the tranquil front seat view of Cathedral Rock. It is conveniently close enough to Sedona but still manages to be peaceful and out in nature. Please book your next trip here!
